Dr. Theresa Dirndorfer Anderson is based at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), where she is Course Coordinator for the Master of Data Science & Innovation (MDSI) and lead researcher on human-centred technology design and algorithmic transparency within the Connected Intelligence Centre. She has MA degrees in International Relations & Security Studies (University of Lancaster, UK) and Information (UTS) where she also completed her PhD in Information Science. Particularly intrigued by the creativity at the heart of scholarly work, she has been exploring the role intuition, insight and serendipity play in idea generation and scholarship through a series of installations (Playing with Pauses: http://playnpause.org/) based on her ongoing ethnographic and anthropological engagement with these concepts.
