Sanjica Faletar Tanacković, PhD is an associate professor at Department of Information Sciences, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Osijek, Croatia. She obtained her PhD in Information science in 2009 from Zagreb University, Croatia. She participated in a number of local and international project such as R&D Coordination action CALIMERA (Cultural Applications: Local Institutions Mediating Electronic Resource Access) funded by the European Union (2003-2005). She served as a President of the Croatian Reading Association (2006-2008). She has edited several professional monographs and conference proceedings and is a member of the Editorial Board for the Libellarium: journal for the research of writing, books, and cultural heritage institutions. She is a co-director for the biennial international conference Libraries in the Digital Age (LIDA) which has been organized since 2000 by Rutgers University, US, Zadar University, Croatia, and Osijek University, Croatia. Her research interests are in convergence of cultural heritage institutions, library and museum services to the underprivileged and human information behaviour.
