Rebecca French completed her Master’s of Information Management and Systems at Monash University in 2007, after employment as a Psychologist for 10 years. She completed her PhD at Monash University Faculty if IT in 2014, focussed on information practices, bricolage and knowledge sharing by health and welfare workers, while working as a Researcher and Records and Information Management consultant with health and welfare organisations. Her research interests are in the areas of information practices and recordkeeping in health and welfare organisations, and the development of awareness amongst welfare and community care workers of the use and importance of information management in their practice. Since February 2014, she has worked as Information Coordinator at the Victorian Health Promotion Foundation. This role includes supporting staff to find, access and use information that fits their information needs, as well as management of the Information Service for the organisation.
