Ivanka Stričević is associate professor at the Department of Information Sciences, University of Zadar, Croatia. She holds a Master’s Degree in Pedagogy and a Ph.D. in Information Sciences. She teaches courses on user studies, information systems in education, literacies in the digital age and library services for youth, at the undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate doctoral study programs. Her research interests are focused on the field of human information needs and behaviour, youth information seeking in context, library services for different types of users, early literacy and reading, information literacy and school libraries. She has been the Chair of IFLA Children and Young Adults Section (2003-2007) and Literacy and Reading Section (2007-2011). She publishes scholarly works and participates in scientific and professional conferences in country and abroad, and is a member of editorial boards of scientific and professional journals.
